Fern Empowerment Foundation (FEF), an NGO focused on the welfare and education of children, has donated some wheelchairs to the Shai Osoduku District Hospital in Dodowa to aid in the medical care of its patients.
The Organization, on this occasion, also spent time with children admitted at the paediatric ward, while donating books and chocolates to these children.
Commenting on the donation and time spent with the children, co-founder of Fern Empowerment Foundation Ruth Yamoah expressed appreciation to the management of the hospital for the warm reception.
“We are profoundly grateful to the management of the hospital for receiving us with open arms. We deem it a privilege to give back to society and as such donating these wheelchairs to the hospital is an action we believe will be of great impact to the community.
It was also a thrill to spend time with the children and present them with colouring and reading books to comfort them whilst learning continues.”
Ruth added that this gesture will be a foundation for charting a new path between Fern Empowerment Foundation and Shai Osudoku District Hospital.
The Medical Superintendent at the hospital, Dr Kennedy Brightson, on his part thanked Fern Empowerment Foundation for its kind gesture and assured that the wheelchairs will be put to good use.
“Management acknowledges with gratitude your kind donation of two (2) wheelchairs to the Hospital to enhance patient care. The staff and patients of the Paediatric Ward are also thankful for the time you spent with them during your visit.
We are truly grateful and we do appreciate your kind gesture.
Thank you and God richly bless you.”
