About the Orphanage

Nyamedua Orphanage was foundered by Mr. Paul Anaba in February 2005. The orphanage is located at Nanakrom in Ashale Botwe. There are 38 children at the home with 14 females and 24 males. The children are of the ages between 1 – 16 years.

Interview with the Founder

On the 17th of December 2020, a visit was made to the orphanage to inquire the challenges facing them during this new normal. The interview with the director revealed that, indeed they are facing some challenges. The director acknowledged the aid from individuals, groups and some organizations that came through to make managing the orphanage comfortable.

However, he emphasized that, currently, the orphanage needs student mattresses, water storage tank and most importantly, school materials which includes books, stationery’, school bags, lunch bowls and foot wears.

Mission of Fern Empowerment Foundation

As an organization whose mission is directed towards working with schools and communities to ensure that students are given the right and enabling environment needed to acquire knowledge, we donated 200 pieces of exercise books, notebooks, stationery, and sanitary towels to the orphanage on 24th January 2021.
