Co-Founder of Fern Empowerment Foundation, Ruth Yamoah, speaking on the event, expressed: “We are very pleased to have had the time with these young girls. Our time here has been very profitable as we have successfully engaged these young ones on the importance of menstrual hygiene, and also breaking the stigma around periods. It is our hope that they also spread the word to their peers wherever they find themselves”.

Speaking on Health, Ms. Debora Wadie a Mid-wife at the Shai Osudoku District Hospital reiterated the importance and benefits of proper Menstrual Hygiene practices for adolescent girls and the need for more advocacy on how girls can track their period to avoid uncomfortable situations. Ms. Tracy Zuweira Abdul-Wahab (Zuzu) of Ghana Most Beautiful (GMB2020) made a special appearance at the event to empower the students on the importance of education.
