The Foundation embarked on an Empowerment and Prayer Session for Basic Education Certificate Examination in August 2020. The aim was to inspire the students through prayer and positive affirmations which we believe contributed to a calmness of heart and mind in the turbulent times of COVID-19 before writing their examinations.

It was the Foundations goal to reach at least 10 schools in the Adentan District. However, most schools declined our offer based on observing the Covid 19 protocols.

On the 6th of August 2020, the Survive School Complex in Adenta-Frafraha opened its doors to the Fern Team for the session. The session was coupled with a talk on career development and various courses the students could do in senior high school that will help them get the right programs in tertiary education to achieve their vision.

The students were encouraged to broaden their knowledge and skills through some online course that can advantage them over their colleagues in school and future job markets. Online sites like coursera.org, alison.com and edx.org were introduced to them.

The Fern team left contact details to the students to reach out anytime should they need academic guidance or assistance.

We are grateful to the School Authorities for the opportunity given to us. We hope to reach more than 70% of our target schools in our next Empowerment and Prayer Session.
